Japan Disney K palette eyeliner 24H (Rapunzel) Tangled Review

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this eyeliner! This has got to be one of the most unique (and the cutest) eyeliner product that I came across the past year or so. Let's jump into it!

A 24 hours long lasting eyeliner? When it comes to a black eyeliner for our eyelids, everyone needs a solid black long lasting liquid eyeliner. It doesn't matter if you prefer it with a dip brush, liquid or in a pen held form, a long lasting, smudge proof true black eyeliner is so essential.

Right now, my holy grail is Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Read on to see if this beats it!

A lil bit about the brand, K-Palette is a popular drugstore makeup in Japan and it is most famous for their 1 Day Tattoo liquid eyeliner that claim to have an amazing 24 hours of lasting power and has been the No.1 best seller for the last 5 years.

First impression:
I have always been a sucker dealing with eyeliners. Other than a nicely drawn pair of eyebrows, my next essential makeup goal is to perfect eyeliner. And because I have hooded eyelids, a non-smudge and waterproof liquid eyeliner works best for me.

This real lasting eyeliner also contains 3 beauty essences such as hyaluronic acid Na, Swertia Japonica essence and water soluble collagen, they all play parts in aiding lash growth and moisturise the eye area. Doesn't it sound like best of both worlds by taking care of your skin with your makeup? :)

Packaging:
Such a cute packaging right?!?! K-Palette products are always decked in either black or red packaging, but because this was a limited edition with Disney, it's in this pink packaging with golden writing... it is just too cute!

The liner pen is in a very slim pen like form with the liner dispensing from a soft brush like tip that's very flexible and can draw a very thin line if wanted. I'm not really a huge fan of this type of liquid liner pen, maybe it's because I'm still lacking the skills of drawing eyeliners :P!
You do need to be careful when putting the cap back on, as the slightly catch of a bristle will cause it to be come dented and it must be cut away as it can't go back into shape.

Overall, I can truly say that this real lasting eyeliner is one of those many eyeliners out there that has the smoothest and sharpest brush ever.

How to use it?
I applied how you would with a standard eyeliner pen. As per mentioned, the tip of the pen is very flexible which goes onto the eyelid very smoothly and allows precise manouevres! The photo below is a testament to it’s fineness and superb flexibility.

Does it stay for 24 hours as it has claimed to be?
Left: water VS right: makeup remover
Stays on good enough as far as I can tell. I swatched on the back of my hand and wet it with running water, the line will not even budge. However if some force is applied (rubbing with my fingers), the line will get rubbed off slightly. But that is to be expected, but you shouldn’t rub your eyes if you have eye makeup on anyway (so it doesn't matter).

Makeup removal is a breeze and I just use my usual Banila Co. Cleansing Balm to remove it.

Like any other eyeliners, the staying power is much influenced by how well of a base you prepare for it. The colour and staying power is enhanced when I use a primer (current: Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer) or powder my eyeliner very well.

Verdict:
I really do like this eyeliner eventhough I don’t necessarily use it very often. (hence the late review, sorry) I think this eyeliner is suitable for someone going for the "very natural barely there" makeup and need your eyes to look more awake but without any obvious sign of an eyeliner.

I personally think it is more suitable for people with naturally big eyes who only need a bit of a boost to make themselves look more put together. Because I have small eyes that need a slightly more obvious eyeliner, I usually only use this extremely fine brush to draw fake lower lashes (yes, that’s a cheater tip there!) and to draw the inner corners of my eye.

So all in all, I really do like this product. However I think it is more suitable for people who prefers the natural makeup look and just wants an eyeliner that is easy to use, delivers good result reliably, lasts long and can help to lift their eyes up. For people who prefer a more of an "oomph"/bold eyeliner, this will work more as a supplementary product for those hard to reach areas or when you need to draw a perfectly tapered end to a strong eyeline.

Thankyou for reading!
Enjoy your weekend everyone :)
See you all on Monday!
