Coloupop x KathleenLights Ultra Satin Lips: Alyssa

Image
Hello helloo! If you haven't read my Colourpop haul, read me HERE . And have you read my last post ? Anyhow, today's post is about.... One of my favourite youtube beauty gurus, Kathleen Lights had a collaboration with Colourpop featuring 3 Ultra Satin lip shades, 1 creme gel liner and 1 creme gel pot. There’s an element of softness to it with the choice of light pinks to light browns. I do not own many “pastel” or “light nude” shades in my collection but boy was I in a surprise with this one. I chose to only pick up "Alyssa" due to its neutral dusty pink tone which I was clearly reeled into. This shade after testing it out, instantly became a favourite of mine! First impression: This comes in the same cardboard boxes as the regular ones, only on these boxes it says 'KathleenLights x Colourpop'. It comes in a clear bottle with a metallic cap and details. Swatches: on wrist Alyssa swatches as a milkshake pink on my skin tone

Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control Powder Review

Image
Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I'm back with another review for you all :) This time, a korean brand finishing powder. Does this remind anyone of Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder?.... Or is it just me haha? To give you an idea of what my skin is like, I have normal skin. The only reason why a finishing powder is vital in my makeup routine is that if I don't apply it, my under-eye creases with BB cream/foundation/concealer (even when applied with eye cream). Aileen from Perth Fabulous Beauty has given me this to try and here I am, ready to roll out my opinion and other shenanigans... so if you are interested... please read on and enjoy! :) First impression:  When I first received it, I thought to myself, hmm I've never heard of this brand before but the packaging stroked me, not because it reminded me of Innisfree one but that I've seen it before... hence it probed me to find out where. Since I myself also follow a whole bunch of makeup gurus on YouTube, I

Japan Disney K palette eyeliner 24H (Rapunzel) Tangled Review

Image
I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this eyeliner! This has got to be one of the most unique (and the cutest) eyeliner product that I came across the past year or so. Let's jump into it! A 24 hours long lasting eyeliner? When it comes to a black eyeliner for our eyelids, everyone needs a solid black long lasting liquid eyeliner. It doesn't matter if you prefer it with a dip brush, liquid or in a pen held form, a long lasting, smudge proof true black eyeliner is so essential. Right now, my holy grail is  Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.  Read on to see if this beats it! A lil bit about the brand, K-Palette is a popular drugstore makeup in Japan and it is most famous for their 1 Day Tattoo liquid eyeliner that claim to have an amazing 24 hours of lasting power and has been the No.1 best seller for the last 5 years. First impression: I have always been a sucker dealing with eyeliners. Other than a nicely drawn pair of eyebrows, my next essential makeu

L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask: Detoxify & Brighten Review

Image
Hello my dear blog readers! How are you all? :) Every couple of weeks I do like to do a good face mask to draw out any impurities that may be lurking beneath the skin, especially after that time of the month! Sheet masks have always been my go to ones, besides from that, charcoal masks are also another of my favourite types of masks (as I have mentioned numerous times on my snapchat and here on this blog) because it reduces dull skin and increases luminosity. I literally swear by it! Today I'm going to be talking about L'Oreal Paris newly released skincare innovation, Pure-Clay Mask. Pure-Clay Mask is made up of a line of three hybrid cleansers and treatments offering different benefit in each mask. There are 3 to choose from in this collection: Purify & Mattify Detoxify & Brighten Exfoliate & Smooth Each one is seriously so appealing. And I am so lucky that L'Oreal has kindly send me a full-sized product in detoxify & brighten for trial. (

Let's talk about lash primers!

Image
Hello hello internet! Today's post is all about LASHES. Who love their lashes? For me, it's a love-hate-relationship. Let me tell you why. It is frustrating when you are not blessed with thick and long natural eyelashes. If this sounds familiar, then your best solution would be a mascara base/primer. To give you an idea, I naturally (like all other asians have teeny weeny little lashes) have (uber) short, straight length lashes that don't stay curled for more than an hour. Seeing as most Asians have the aforementioned type of lashes, it would make sense that asian cosmetic brands have an answer to that problem! Today, I will be comparing between two lash primers products, specifically lash maximizers - the ones that increase the length of your lashes. These two products are: Etude House Dr Mascara Fixer in super long lash (korean brand)  and KATE white lash maximizer (japanese brand). Before I start comparing, here are quick introductions of both of these products

(first) Colourpop Haul

Image
Spoiler alert: I splurged again. Hello hello hello to y'all! Happy Friday! How have you been? Good? I hope :) Definition: (first) - statement showing it's the first order of many to come, definitely not the last haul So yesterday, to be precise (if you have followed me on instagram ), I received my goodies to try out from ColourPop cosmetics. It took just over 2 weeks-ish for these to come, but aye it was worth it! So so worth it. After almost a year of dreaming, browsing and making wish lists, I finally decided to take the leap and make an order from the ColourPop website. A little side note: If you’ve ever had to ship anything from the United States to Australia you would understand and agree with me that shipping prices can get pretty damn crazy and even though ColourPop is REALLY cheap, I could never justify the shipping prices (even with flat rate and the money conversion) that came along with making an order. I haven't had time to swatch yet but I th

Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette in Solstice Review

Image
Oh heyyy again everyone! Second post of this week woohoo, we're rolling! If you haven't read the first post of this week, check it out HERE . I’ve got swatches and review today of the Sleek Makeup - highlighting palette in "Solstice".  I have been so curious about this for the longest time but never got around to buying one. Then when I really wanted to get it, the Target that I always go to ran out of stock. So it was an on and off chance all the time when popping by and FINALLY I got this beau last week. So yea if you are interested in how I went, then keep reading :) First impression of the budget highlighting palette that's on everyone's face: As we can all see, this palette is in a shiny, rose gold tinged compact that features a handy-sized mirror and a scratchy brush (to be very honest)! Aside from the disappointing brush, the palette is in a good size - enough for popping into a handbag for touch-ups! If that is not enough, the
