Summer Glow with LUSH Feeling Younger Skin Tint Review

Image
It feels like I haven't written a post in forever! (yep I know it's not Wednesday anymore :P) But I'm here! I figured I would do a post on natural glowing skin because well *cough cough* it falls into my favourite category: highlighters. It's summer here in Australia and as some of you already know I am a huge fan of radiant, dewy skin! Not only does it look youthful but it truly accentuates your features. During summer, I tend to use very few products as possible on my face due to avoiding face meltdown on super hot days. You know, sometimes less is more. On any other days or seasons should I say, I typically achieve a glow by using powder highlighters which are known to appear slightly heavier, but I've been trying out the LUSH: Feeling Younger Skin Tint for the past couple of months and let me tell you, it will be all you reach for to achieve glowy skin. And and and let me give you a sneak peek.... if you've always wanted to try MAC Strobe Cream Glow but

I have mentioned this brand before earlier this year - a local Western Australia's watch company. Counting down to Christmas with The Body Shop

Image
*6th day of December and counting down to.... 19 days till Christmas!* Good morning to you all lovely beings! I hope you are having a lovely week so far! Finally hump day aka middle of the week  I tell ya! Though this week has been flying with the past 2 days - being super hectic at work! And now here's the question..... Have YOU  (yes you!) started counting down to Christmas? Are you ready for Christmas or are you feeling a little bit overwhelmed? I'm one of those people that has to write down a list for absolutely everything so I am completely prepared, otherwise I'd be that person which leaves everything till the last minute if I didn't have my lists. (anyone with me?) First off how am I counting down to Christmas this year? If you haven't yet seen from my insta-stories/instagram, this year I'm counting down by opening my first ever (yep the first one!) advent calendar from the body shop . This one is a 25 days of Christmas advent calendar and it’

Memories in printed squares by Printiki

Why hello there, welcome back to my blog! Yep it has been ages since I've posted anything since my last supposedly-back-to-to-blogging post in October, but that didn't really count (right?) as a post because I've never post anything after it! With that out of the way, for this month - DECEMBER - can you believe it? I can't. Last month of 2017. What is this blasphemy? This year is flying too quick! And so for this month, if you've been following my instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/melon_yu/ ), you would have known that I'm doing VLOGMAS up on my youtube channel, but instead of the typical daily vlog, I'll be rolling it out in a weekly format, the reason being because I work everyday so there is really not much to vlog and put it as a single video (and it would be boring too!). Hence, the weekly vlogmas! The first one will be out this Friday - the 8th of Dec! My youtube channel - It's Melon Yu . Besides vlogmas and opening my advent calendar

Let's get personal: Where have I been?

Why hello... again! Let's start by stating the obvious: IT’S BEEN A WHILE. So.. where have I been? This has been the longest blogging break I’ve ever taken in the history of this blog’s existence. Yep this post you're reading right now is my first blog post since June. I haven't blog for FOUR months. Well technically 3 months because I went to USA for 1 month. Anyways, I didn’t throw my computer off a cliff and quit in some dramatic fashion. No, I just quietly walked away and eventually forgot I even had a blog. It wasn’t intentional (which you'll know why soon) but the longer I was away from it, the more it became normal. Stepping away was an eye opener, in a good way. I felt like an outsider in the blogging world even more so when I realised that bloggers I considered to be blogging friends weren’t even following me anymore! If you’ve followed my blogging journey, you know that I’ve been blogging since about 2011 and that I’ve had approximately 4 different bl

Elizavecca Green Piggy: Collagen Jella Pack Mask Review

Happy Tuesday to you all lovelies! It feels like a Monday today, being that I'm back to work, it was really good to have a long weekend! In today post, I really want to share and rave about this product that I've been using for the 2 past years and I seriously didn't know why I didn't do a review of this product back then, when I did about the carbonated clay mask - you can read more about that here: LINK . This korean skincare product is made out of pig collagen (50% of its content) and at 50,000 mg of collagen peptide - one of the highest concentration of collagen products around! A little story about collagen and I: Collagen is the protein in the epidermis which helps our skin to retain water and increase elasticity. In other words, collagen is key to maintain a youthful looking skin as collagen production slows down after we pass our 20's. To cater for those who want to try and keep their youthful looks aka the majority of all women, many companies h

Cass Beauty Store: Jasmine & Bella False Eyelashes Review

Image
Hey! True or false: applying false eyelashes can be very intimidating. False eyelashes are my saviour. I literally can’t live without them. I guess I’m real lash addict. However, you may then ask, hold on, how come you don't see me wear much false eyelashes based on my pictures on my instagram, yes? Well let me tell you a brief story, I discovered false eyelashes at the start of last year and have wore false eyelashes quite often since then, started working full time since end of last year, and because I wear glasses, there isn't a need to wear falsies as much, unless when I have contact lenses on - as it makes me look super bare that I can't face myself applying a dozen coat of mascaras because none will stay hold the whole day! The false eyelashes I wore often, were either lashes from Daiso or Ardell Demi Wispies - which is still my favourite, but now it's not the only one! Today, I will be sharing my first impressions and thoughts of these Cass Beauty  fal

Etude House Double Lasting Foundation Review

Happy Friday everyone! Welcome back to yet another post :) I did a get-ready-with-me chitchat on my snapchat account yesterday, (let's be friends! My username is: veleneeee), which made me realised that it has been a really long time since I've did a video or anything along that line! I was saddened by how un-creative I've been, telling myself, this can't do anymore, either I bare it all or give it all. I love to hear how you guys motivate yourself! Love to hear any tips :) Anyways! Today I'm going to be talking about Etude House Double Lasting Foundation ! I've mentioned about this on my instagram ( LINK ) and I've been using this on so many occasions, from everyday to night events and functions, now that I think it's the right time now, to share with you what I think about this! First of all, I love Korean BB Creams. Well love is an understatement really, obsessed is a better word. If you raid my storage of my makeup base - 90% of them are BB
