3CE Shimmer Stick in Pink Review
HELLO! :D I'm back again to leave a review that I wanted to upload yonks ago *sadly had no time and got bombarded by lots of stuffs* But finally... I'm here.. *yays!* to talk about the 3CE Shimmer Stick! It is basically a highlighter stick and has delicate and fine glitters that will instantly glam up your face. This product comes in 2 colours: peach and pink. And I received the pink shade :)
On a plus note, this is also my first 3CE product so I am excited to talk about it. Let's go~
Firstly, I'm not a makeup artist, but ever since I received this shimmer stick for free (for review purposes), I'm turning pretty quickly addictive to them! Why? Because you can use it for everything you can imagine!! I apply it mostly on my nose because it is the part I like to emphasize the most, and also to accomplish my dream to have a more prominent nose #lifeofaflatnose# XD
First impression: I like the simple design of this product. It is their signature design to keep their container in black color, which makes it look very sleek.
Application on a swatch: It is hard to tell (by the picture), but if you look closely when I applied 3CE shimmery stick, my skin is able to get more light on it which gives a more 3-dimensional effect to it. After looking closely at how this is like, I highly recommend to use this as your highlighter if you are looking for a highlighter to create more dimension/shape for your face.
How and when do I use it?
I mostly use this for night functions, like parties and clubbing. I use it mainly to contour my T-zone (upper eyebrow area and chin) and under eye area for a well-defined nose bridge and brighter looking eyes.
For highlighting my eyes: I don't draw or blend it with my finger tips or brushes on my eyelids. I dabbed it on my entire eyelids. Fortunately, the radius of the shimmer stick is large enough to do so.
For contouring: I blend with finger tips for a softer highlighting effect. Personally, I really love this part a lot because after applying it, my nose has become more visible and prominent.
*Hottest tip!*: apply on your collar bone for more prominent sexy looking collarbones! :D
Pros:
This shimmer sticks is very soft and easy to be applied, it looks very natural too.
Cons:
None.
Overall:
Thumbs up for this product! Would definitely purchase it next time round (when I finish it). I love this shimmer stick to the max. Because it is so convenient and gives a natural sheen.
I was surprised how well it glided on my skin as well as that it keeps my skin very moisturised!! Other highlighters I have used in the past were usually compact types (though its application is easier) but they sometimes can get very dry on my skin, which can be troublesome when you are wearing it for long time. However, this particular stick can stay moisturized for a long time, so if you are one of those people who have trouble with dry skin I highly recommend this product! And if you are having trouble with oily skin, I recommend you stick with using compact-type highlighters.
For those who's interested to purchase 3CE products, please take note that there are many non-genuine products out there, hence be careful while purchasing them.
