But first, have you heard of Unichi (be unique)?

Unichi is an Australian brand that focuses on beauty and health products. 

The 4 principles of their products are:

• nature: sourcing natural ingredients organically worldwide, engaging natural therapy with science to create premium products

• minimalism: focusing on less is more, their brand and packaging believes that more ingredients does not equal better results

• efficacy: ingredients are researched and clinically trialed to prove effectiveness and better results

I have never heard of Unichi before, until that is, when they reached out! When I saw their principles, in exact aligning with how I prioritise my skincare products these days, I got really intrigued in testing their products! Though I would totally love to give their collagen supplements a go (one of their popular product!) but unfortunately I can't because I'm having a vegetarian lifestyle this year, but do give that a go if that's up your alley and let me know!😉

11 Pearls Phyto Calming Essence uses advanced technology by combining microHA and botanical ingredients to soothe, calm and hydrate skin, while improving luminosity and firmness. It claims that after one application:

After 30 Minutes: instant relief and immediate skin hydration (up to 96%)*

After 48 Hours: sustained protection and hydration

After 5 days: prolonged skin hydration

⇢⇢  Key Ingredients:

• Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate - also known as microHA - a salt form of skin-replenishing ingredient hyaluronic acid; considered more effective for skin than pure hyaluronic acid due to its greater compatibility; helps to reduce free radicals, relieve inflammation, repair damaged cells, and to protect the skin against sensitivity
• Bifida Ferment Lysate (Repair Complex CLR) - a probiotic ingredient (you might recognise this ingredient in one of the most iconic serums by Estee Lauder Advanced night repair); potently protects against UV-induced damage in the skin & helps with DNA repair
• 7 botanical exracts - to refresh, heal and soothe skin:
• Calendula Extract - antioxidant; soothing plant extract that helps with skin-repairing
• Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice - soothing agent; humectant moisturiser and has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial component; helps with wound healing and skin regeneration
• 
  Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract - most widely used medicinal herbs; has anti-inflammatory properties & antioxidant agent 
• Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract - skin lightening aka has de-pigmenting property
• Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/​Leaf/​Stem Extract -  soothing and antioxidant effects on skin
• Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Juice - emollient that has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-conditioning agents
• Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil - have antimicrobial and antibacterial properties (when I researched about this ingredient, I was surprised to see this is an essential oil created by steam distilling the leaves of the eucalyptus tree)
  

⇢⇢  Packaging:

Serums are anti-aging preventers, promising youth and preservation of the skin over time, so because of this, they are coveted products housed in an amazing glass dropper bottle. Look at the packaging of the bottle. I could stare at it all day long!

⇢⇢  Texture & scent:

This essence has a watery consistency, that is lightweight and absorbs fast. It has a mild, sweet floral scent, which I'm really loving!

⇢⇢  How to use:

I use this essence in my morning and night time routine by putting a small amount on my fingertips and gently patting it into my face. As it is an essence, with a water-based formula (light weight and less concentrated than a serum), it is applied after a clean, toned face as an extra layer of hydration and preps the skin to absorb serums and moisturisers more effectively. This acts an extra layer of hydration and the botanical colour and smell gives you instant soothing relief and relaxation!

⇢⇢  Overall thoughts:

The most major improvement I have noticed since using this essence is how well it calms my breakouts and redness, fast - just by a night. It is truly magic in a bottle. It also provides my skin with a natural glow and boost of hydration. This essence leaves no residue and doesn't cause any irritations. 

I love all the research behind this one aka I love products that actually do what they say they do. And as you know I also love products that smell good, and this one ticks all the boxes! This essence has been an essential product in my skincare routine lately, I can surely agree it makes my skin feel happy!
