Subi Holo Dream Brightening Pore Minimizing Mask

Got enlarged pores? A dull complexion? Blackheads or breakout woes? I do. Well three out of the four anyway.

Today I will be sharing you this mask that I've been loving dearly and have used for a few times now ---it's called "Subi Holo Dream Brightening Pore Minimizing Mask", yes by the brand, Subi Beauty. Subi means "defence" in Korean and that's exactly what Subi products do - defend your skin. 

Clay masks are awesome: it's the way-to-go to detox your skin and deep cleanse your pores to allow your skincare products to absorb into the skin and for makeup to apply well on a clean canvas. Because what other skincare product can you actually see working — drying out to unclog and detox pores in a matter of minutes? Clay masks feel great on the skin, and they’re practically made for easy at-home use. 

If you’re unfamiliar with Subi Beauty, that’s because they’re fairly new (launched in 2019)! They call themselves “half Aussie, half Korean” – Australian owned but born in Korea. They aim to merge Korean skincare innovations with Australian minimalism to create simple and effective skincare. 

Think of it this way: fusing the best of A-beauty (think clean, natural and minimalist skincare ingredients) with K-beauty (cutting edge technology).

⇢⇢  About this mask:

This holo dream brightening pore minimizing mask and brush set is a wash-off face mask. This detoxifying mask claims: to deeply cleanse and tighten pores, leaving the skin with a subtle glow. This mask is 100% free from nasties like no: fragrances, essential oils, alcohol and other irritants!

⇢⇢  Key Ingredients:

• Kaolin - removes toxins, pollutants, pigmentation and dead skin cells
• Australian Kakuda plum - the highest Vitamin C-rich fruit on the planet; tackles dullness aka skin-brightening
• Ceramides - repairs and strengthens skin barrier; keeps your complexion hydrated by sealing in moisture, preventing moisture loss and maintaining your oil balance
• Tiger's Grass aka Cica (centella asiatica) - repair and soothe irritated and damaged skin
• Fig fruit extract - an antioxidant, improves hydration and brightens by addressing an enzyme in skin (tyrosinase) whose over-production lead to dark spots

⇢⇢  Packaging:

Did I mention, I love everything HOLOGRAPHIC. And so of course, the first thing I notice is the hologram packaging! (which I have fallen in love with it, without a doubt haha) The mask comes in a recyclable glass jar (50g) with plastic lid. I also love the little silicone spatula that comes with this mask, which I find it so hygienic!

⇢⇢  Texture & scent:

As I scoop out the mask, there is no fragrance as claimed. It has a thick texture, which I did found a lil hard to scoop out *nicely* in turn ruining the magical swirl haha. *I audibly gasped as I opened the lid, the perfect swirl paired with the unexpected iridescence* Though thick, it's creamy and applies on skin really well with the spatula included.

⇢⇢  Overall thoughts:

THIS IS THE COOLEST clay mask I have ever used because it is actually holographic!! After rinsing it off with water, it leaves my skin with a subtle holo glow effect, which I LOVE, I'm quite sad that I couldn't capture it on my camera as I have been masking at night, when I do it at an earlier time, I shall update you guys here! So yea, after washing it off, I see my face still has shimmering specs of mask remaining. It doesn't feel too drying like some other clay masks. This mask also works well to deeply cleanse and tighten pores. 

With the exquisite list of ingredients this mask has, I'm happy (and grateful) to say this mask will: make your skin detoxified from those nasty blocked pores, clarify and brightens your complexion leaving you with a radiant glow.

Overall I found this a lovely gentle mask suitable for all skin types. It certainly has given me the clay mask glow afters, smooth skin ad reduced pore size! It is definitely a showstopper! From the packaging to the texture to the finish of the mask, which leads me to:
