DoMeCare: Deep Cleansing Mask Review
Aloha everybody!
Here I am now, with another wonderful (and belated XD) product to be review and share with you all. It is the DMC Deep Cleansing Mask. Have you heard of it? For me, initially, I didn't even know it existed until my friend, Ellie recommended me to it earlier this year. When she told me that it's effective in removing black and white heads, I became really curious and wanted to try it as I really don't like to have a strawberry nose. That time, I wanted to buy it from one of my trusted seller, but she hasn't re-stocked yet, so I waited. And few days later, I received this for free for review purpose from Cosme Hut - do check them out too if you are a Perthian like me! ;) I will link their contact details down below.
Before I start, I've been getting a FAQ on my opinion of skincare vs makeup. Basically, I pay more attention on taking care of my face instead of makeup. I prefer my face to be clean and smooth. But, I do like to put some light makeup to enhance my face to be more energetic. And also to add some colour in my social life *when holidays come around hehe*
So what is DMC? It is a cleansing mask *from Taiwan* that works to gently exfoliate your skin. It can remove impurities, clean pores deeply, leave your skin smooth, soothe the skin and moisturise the skin. Suitable for all skin types. It is like a gel/jelly type of way to cleanse the face, in fact, is works like a mask! Aha! Perhaps is that why it is called a "deep cleansing mask" hehe? ;) The main ingredients are bamboo charcoal powder, cucumber extract and wild chamomile extract. Bamboo charcoal contains rich mineral and great absorption ability by using their cavities to attract dirt. What makes this stand out from other deep cleansing masks is that, it's made up of all-natural ingredients!
First impression:
I received the 225g tub *it's not the only size it comes in if you're wondering*, it also comes in 150g and 500g. I also love how a spatula is included in the product as it is super useful for scooping the product out and to also scrap off the excess afterwards. The packaging itself looks sleek and classic, clean and simple! The jelly is black in colour and has the texture much like a puddingwhich I may mistakenly eat one day when drunk. It has a faint flowery smell which is not overpowering at all.
How do I use it? I apply the product onto whole face (as thick as around 0.3 cm). Then I wait for 30 minutes, in which I just lay on my bed, treating it as how I do face mask. When the time is up, I then scrap them off with the spatula provided, and rinse off with water. Note: Don't apply too thin or too thick, as it will make your face unable to clean thoroughly, and might even cause skin redness. And after cleaning your face with water to wash all the remaining residue off, you can then apply a pore tightening toner (to tighten the pore you just opened by cleansing) and follow with your daily skincare routine. Recommended use: apply this mask for 2 days weekly
Overall, I BLOODY LOVE THIS! This is one of the coolest exfoliate I've ever seen and used so far, because it is not only gentle to use (no scrubbing needed) but simple too! The gel-like texture is really cooling on my face. If you are wondering, how do I measure the thickness of 0.3 cm? I just approximated really... So at this case I would not know I am using the right amount, but I can feel that I have applied the sufficient amount and by the end of 30 mins, my skin is still moist, and not dry, which is a good indication that I've applied the right amount. I could even see whiteheads slowly emerging during the mask session, I believe it does its magic well. My face felt super clean and moisturize after the first try! I also love how it gives me the baby skin effect afterwards! Like, who doesn't want to have smooth and fair skin?
This is my first time using jelly mask and I can really tell you that product ticks all my boxes.
Hence, I strongly recommend it! Get one for yourself to pamper with! Let your skin become clean and smooth!
