Heimish Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch Review

Happy Sunday everyone! It felt relieved as I'm starting to type this post away and I guess that's mainly because it has been the longest time since I've last posted here.. anyhow! Today's post will be dedicated to reviewing Heimish Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch. This was sent to me for trial from Nudie Glow (Australia's leading Korean Beauty & Skincare store) about one month-ish ago and during this period, I have tried as much as I could in variety ways and here I am today, sharing my thoughts!

So who is Heimish? It's a fairly new Korean brand that focuses on individual’s uniqueness and beauty. Makeup that lets YOU stand out, not the makeup itself. Their packaging revolves around around a very modern and simple design that is very feminine,  which probably falls in well with their brand concept of simplicity and effortless chic, so it works really well. It has a high end feel that doesn’t seem cheap at all.

Before I heard about this eye patches, I knew Heimish has always been famous for its all clean balm cleanser - apparently it's better than Banila Co. but I will have to test it out to see for myself! :')

I have only used 2 different types (from the same brand) of hydrogel eye masks before, and that's Shangpree's: Ginseng Berry Eye Mask (brightens and soothes skin) and Marine Energy Eye Mask (anti-aging). I personally love to use hydrogel material masks, they are really helpful to use while you’re working (or when you’d had a long day and just need to relax) – they tend to adhere really easily and, regardless of how effective the serum is, the gel is very cooling and good for de-puffing eyes.

You can get this product on Nudie Glow for AUD$27 so you can definitely check it out there if you’re wanting to get this yourself. Otherwise, let’s just get right into this review because this product is so aesthetic. (don't you reckon?!)

What caught my eye in this eye patch is that it promises - to help with wrinkles and to brighten the complexion - especially for those with dark under eyes from lack of sleep and staring at the computer screen for too long. Like myself.

It comes in a tub of 72 pieces, which is 36 pairs, with the weight of 60 gram. The patch is made of a hydrogel material, which is transparent and has a pink, glittery appearance. This patch is then applied and left for 20 to 30 minutes before removal.

Packaging & First Impression:
Once the tub opens,  you can get an oof of the rose water scent - which is deeeee-licious. Besides from the smell, you can see it has a plastic cover and a spatula. I think that the small touches, like how the spatula fits in well against that lid, makes the packaging look extra lux! (don't you think?!) The lid is also really tight and secure, which was surprising. It definitely helps to seal in the moisture so I am pretty confident that the patches won’t be drying out quickly.

The spatula is surprisingly handy as it helps to separate the patches and lift it out without using your fingers. Initially, I was thinking to use tweezers instead but, because of how delicate these masks can be, I ended up using the flat spatula, which ended up being a good choice as it's really easy to use without damaging the product and also very hygienic.

Verdict aka my final thoughts:
After using it almost twice (sometimes three times) weekly for about a month, here's what I've got to say:

Firstly, super easy to use! I applied them at the end of my skincare routine. When I first started to use the patches, they did slip down a little and I would had to push them up to adjust around my eye shape but once that adjustment is done, I found that they fully adhered after a couple of minutes.

can you see the difference between this and the previous fist?
Secondly, the patches definitely hydrated under my eyes really well! My under eyes would feel really soft, smooth to touch, de-puffed and very plump after application, because of the cooling effect it has. About two and half weeks in using them, I can subtly see my under eye circles have become lighter - not fully gone (but I hope in due time with continue use!

Thirdly, the recommended time in leaving them on is about 20 to 30 minutes and most of the times I apply them on weekday nights - which means I had dozed off without removing the patches and in the morning I found the patch has very well thinned out - that is I believe, most of the essence has been absorbed which furthered shape my final verdict that the patches are truly water soluble.

I've definitely had use these eye patches quite religiously after seeing the effects they had on me - like from the moisturising property I've felt and a subtle brightening of the under-eye effect. Overall, I'm really happy with this product. It's not one of those instant-wow products but it's still really enjoyable to use and....

Would I recommend? Oh yes definitely! I would be recommending these to people who like hydrogel eye patches! Out of the ones I've tried, I think these are the most hydrating and effective to use (short term). Also I think this product is best suited for younger skin where hydration and dark circles are the main concerns. Those who want strong anti-aging benefits would be better with a more potent solution/an eye cream (or even better, use these patches together with an eye cream) because the essence is quite light.

Would I purchase next time? I would sure be when I finish the tub!

Lastly, if this sounds up to your par and want to get your hands on the Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch, it is selling on Nudie Glow for AUD $27.

I hope you have enjoyed reading as much as I had fun in trialing and reviewing this product.

Until next time!
