Jumiso All Day Vitamin Range

One can never get enough of the “glow and radiance” right?!

Who among us doesn't want healthier, glowier, brighter, and smoother skin? I think until my face ticks all that, I will continue to use Vitamin C products haha!

So….

Why is Vitamin C good for the skin? What are the benefits of Vitamin C? Why is Vitamin C such an essential ingredient in everyone’s skincare regime?

In short: everything

Firstly, Vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it protects skin from UV damage; it promotes collagen production, diminishes fine lines, lifts away dark spots; essentially revealing bright, firm, youthful and glowing skin.

Read on to find out how you can incorporate Vitamin C into your routine, featuring Jumiso latest All Day Vitamin range - facial cleanser, facial serum and wash-off mask.

*update 26/11: have been using this range for a little more than a month now; review’s up-to-date*

✨ About JUMISO -

If you haven’t heard of JUMISO (주미소) before, it is a Korean beauty brand that wants to “give smiles to their customers”. Their name literally means that with the words 주 (ju), to give; and 미소 (miso), smile. If you look closely at their packaging, their logo even has a little smiley face! Jumiso is a subsidiary of the K-beauty brand, Helloskin.

The Jumiso All Day Vitamin Clean and Mild Facial Cleanser is described as a facial wash that would not make your skin irritated, dry or tight, as it has a pH level of 5.5 to 6.5. This literally translates to the fact that the skin’s natural oils won’t get stripped off after washing, which is a common problem with most facial cleansers – and that’s why having that “squeaky clean and tight” feeling is not really good. *Tbh: I used to be obsessed with cleaning my face squeaky clean, which in turn had unfortunately made my skin more dry and dehydrated. I’ve learnt that lesson!*

⇢⇢ Key Ingredients: I must say, when I looked at the ingredient list of this cleanser, I found it very unique. I have not come across any cleanser that contains pure Vitamin C in it.

  • Salicylic acid = deep cleans pores, exfoliate skin and help control breakouts
  • Ascorbic acid = smoothens and brightens skin
  • Chlorhexidine Digluconate = a preservative, that also has an antimicrobial property and used to treat the fungal and bacterial infection on the skin. Hence this explains why the cleanser is useful to control regular acne and fungal acne on the skin
  • Sea buckthorn extract = rich in Vitamin C and E and also aids hydration to the skin.
  • Honey Extract = calms skin and keeps skin hydrated
⇢⇢ Packaging: Comes in a standard plastic flexi-tube with a flip-on cap with 150mL of product.

⇢⇢ Texture & scent: It is a gel cleanser, light yellow colour, foams up moderately and has quite a prominent citrus-grapefruit scent. This cleanser can be used daily for both day and night routine just like any foaming cleanser. For my PM routine, I use this as a second step cleanser, that is, I use an oil-based makeup remover then followed up with this cleanser.

⇢⇢ Overall thoughts: This product is quite a gentle cleanser even after having salicylic acid at the top of the ingredient list.

This serum made with 86.14% vitamin tree extract (sea buckthorn extract; with AHA-like qualities and is a rich source of vitamin C), is a non-water based formula that brightens the skin, evens out your skin tone, minimises the signs of aging and improves your skin’s elasticity.

⇢⇢ Key Ingredients:
  • Brightening ingredients: Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) content of 20,000ppm and Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract
  • Centella Asiatica Extract = soothe; great in healing acne scars, calming inflammation and accelerating cell turnover
  • Sodium Hyaluronate (almost similar to Hyaluronic Acid) = hydration
  • Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea)
With the best of both the worlds aka brightening and soothing ingredients, it makes this a power-packed potent vitamin-rich serum.

It’s worth noting that this All Day Vitamin Serum isn’t a straight-up vitamin C product, however, Jumiso’s formula contains a complex of A, B, D, E, and K vitamins, in addition to vitamin C.

⇢⇢ Packaging: This comes in a 30ml dropper bottle (I love serums that come in a dropper) and when used twice daily, lasted a little more than a month. Remember when using in the AM routine, always follow this with sunscreen.

⇢⇢ Texture & scent: This is a runny serum, very light-weight at the same time, very nourishing, the texture spreads easily and is absorbed quickly without leaving any sticky residue. The serum smells very citrus-y, almost like orange powdered juice. It does not linger on the face though, so it’s not irritating or overpowering.

⇢⇢ Overall thoughts: The first thing I immediately noticed when using this was the instant brightened glow this serum gave me. I mean there are some products with which you see results after gradual use or over time. But with this, the bright glow which I saw on my first try, had stolen my heart away. I can definitely see my skin getting healthier and brighter. I have been using this in both my morning and night routine and by this, my current state of skin is a bright, healthy glow and moisturised; which has brought to a result that I want to keep sharing to you all - you have to try serum if you haven’t yet! Oh, and did I mention how affordable this is? You can get this at Cosme Hut - https://www.cosmehut.com.au/products/jumiso-all-day-vitamin-brightening-balancing-facial-serum ; moreover you can use my code "MELON" on top of that to save some more money - bonus!

This wash-off mask also known as the fruity barrier mask, is loaded with 15 vitamins to promote moisture balance, repair & revitalise rough & dull skin and re-energise exhausted skin. The 15 vitamins provide hydrating, brightening and firming benefits while fortifying the skin barrier. A polymer barrier is formed by the smooth coating mask that retains moisture and maximises the absorption of the active ingredients. Addition of natural lemon peel creates a gentle peeling effect to bring gentle cleansing and exfoliation. They claim that when used together with the vitamin cleanser and serum, we skincare lovers will enjoy the vitamin boost. Read on to see what I think!

⇢⇢ Key Ingredients:

⇢⇢ Packaging: This mask is packaged in a premium glass tub along with a clear spatula (plus points for the spatula!)

⇢⇢ Texture & scent: This wash-off jelly mask smells exactly like fresh oranges! The texture is just like jelly, reminds me of orange marmalade because you can see the orange pulp inside the mask!

⇢⇢ Overall thoughts: This is the first kind of mask I’ve ever used that is specifically to use after cleansing and toning. Every time I use this mask, my skin always feels refreshed, moisturised and radiant afterwards. I also love how it softens my skin. It leaves you with just the right amount of glow - like you are glowing from the inside. It’s easy to rinse-off, and doesn’t leave any residue.

This is for sure the go-to when you need a quick pick-me-up; for when your skin feels tired; for when your skin needs some extra care.

Overall, I’m super happy with how my skin looks after 2 months of using this range, and will keep using them until they’re emptied!
