I just finished the lotion and started the jelly cream few days ago so here comes my first impression & review!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the packaging of these products?
The common ingredients in both of these products include:
⇢⇢ Jeju Cherry Blossom extract: defends the skin from free radicals, helping to leave it softer and smoother
⇢⇢ Niacinamide: keeps the skin balanced and the skin strengthened
⇢⇢ Naturally derived betaine: helps to balance your skin’s hydration levels

⇢⇢ Packaging: this cream is packaged in a darker pink container compared to the lotion, emphasising the ‘jelly’ texture. I find that the white speckled lid also adds a nice touch to the overall packaging - simple & convenient.
⇢⇢ Texture & scent: Can you tell by the texture shot that it has a fluffy and bouncy look? It’s just like jello, feels cool and has a lightweight texture. Contrarily to its name, it's not a cream, but really a clear gel.
When applied on the skin, the jelly cream melts so quickly and absorbs nicely (almost like toner) into the skin leaving your skin moisturised, plumped and glowy. And and and it smells divine - just like ๐ธ๐ #takemetojapanpls
๐ซ ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ — unlike other lotions I’ve tried, this lotion feels soft and watery (instead of heavy/thick), light, easy to apply, moisturised all day and perfect under makeup! Glass skin dreams come true๐
⇢⇢ Packaging: First up, you can tell it's in a tube form - which for me, it's a bonus especially when travelling around *not that I can travel any time soon with this covid around plus our border is closed* other than that, this tube form make it really convenient to bring around.
⇢⇢ Texture & scent: This is a lightweight emulsion. The texture is gel-like and feels a bit watery and really lightweight.
Smells exactly like sakura in a lotion form, no kidding, but if you're sensitive to scents in your skincare products, fear not! Because if you just have a whiff of it, it just has a very faint cherry scent that is not overwhelming at all! I love using this in my morning skincare routine because it moisturises super well (would be perfect for summer!) - glass dewy skin on the go especially when you're in a rush. This absorbs into the skin very fast and is also easy to use.
๐ซ Here are some comparison photos I took and collate:
⇢ Jelly cream: a gel that immediately feels very hydrating upon application ⇢ Lotion: a gellified cream hence feels a bit watery and really lightweight |
When I finished collating these photos, I just couldn't stop staring because of the pinkness! See all the textures in more details in my short video clip :D |
Now it’s your turn - have you tried this cherry blossom range? Or skincare from Innisfree in general? Let me know what you end up picking up down below or on my Instagram! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
This is quite interesting for me and my sister and we used this on your recommendation. The result was 100% amazing as our cherry blossom day trip. I highly recommend all to try this.
